Bangladesh & Los Angeles

The project focuses on two locations: Dhaka, Bangladesh and Los Angeles, California as a response to the estimated rising coastlines. Our cities will have to re-develop into new realms and embrace the change with responsible action.

Starting with the estimated 200 year mark of rising tides, a new city form emerges. This new development starts on land and develops towards the sea at the same rate as the sea moves towards land. Our model shows basic growth patterns of this new city form, and insists positive relations of a permeable soft coastline, where urban environments and planning intertwine with water conditions.
