Aggregate Trajectories:
Public Recreation, Housing, and Culture

New York City
2009

New infrastructure forms public leisure space, commercial storefronts, and private residences along the edge of the Hudson River. The site expands Manhattan’s territory, increases waterfront area, and distorts the current relationship between the river and city. By linking directly to the High Line, Hudson Yards, and the River Park this new infrastructure re-connects with the city and, like the industrial piers and wharfs of previous centuries, creates new modes of interaction between the inhabitants of Manhattan and the Hudson River.
